Nauvoo Pageant a great family experience |

For the past three years my family has had the great blessing of being involved in the Nauvoo Pageant. I am the father of 5 children and my wife decided that we should look into this. Coming from a theater background and being part of the Ricks College A Capella Choir, it was an easy jump for her to do something like this. But for me, it was a different story! I am more of a behind-the-scenes guy with little dramatic talent (and even less signing talent). The thought of performing made me very nervous but I was pleasantly surprised! The whole thing was a great experience for most of my family. We have one child with Autism Spectrum Disorder who was unable to participate, but even he was able to enjoy some great vacation time away from brothers and sisters. The schedule is demanding and the financial and time commitment is not to be overlooked but the feeling of being involved in something that builds the faith of those who listen and those who give themselves to a project like this is its own reward.
