Annual Cops and Robbers Golf Outing |

About 200 people showed up Friday for the annual Cops and Robbers Golf outing at the Great River Road Golf Club that Nauvoo has held the event to raise additional funds to help buy new equipment for the Nauvoo City Police Department. They have been able to raise enough money in past years to upgrade older computers and buy much needed equipment that protect them in the line of duty. Anything we as a community can do to help our police force be productive and feel protected is a worthwhile event. Several local businesses made donations to the event, which raised several thousand dollars. My golf game was not so great and we did not win the day but we had a lot of fun and supported a very worthwhile cause. Nauvoo Villas is one of many proud sponsrs of the event.
